Surfing in the Basque Country, The Story
1956, movie writer Peter Viertel came in Biarritz before the shooting of his last flick "The sun rises also".  There, he's amazed by the quality of waves from the "Coast of the Basques" spot. He ask to be send 2 boards directly from California for him and his assistant the movie mogul Richard Zannuck Jr.
Fascinated by their skills "imported" from the Pacific coast, some Biarrots (Biarritz natives) of which George Hennebate (brilliant inventor of the "leach", sadly for him he won't lay out the patent of it persuaded by the sarcastic remarks of his friends of the "uselessness" (sic) of this "wire to the leg"!), Michel Barland, Bruno Reinhardt… and many other pioneers will join the team of the "Uncles surfers"…
